NVIDIA upgrades 'Hogwarts Legacy' on GeForce NOW with DLSS 5 technology for improved lighting and materials, while supporting new expansions in other popular games streaming on the platform.

NVIDIA has introduced an upgrade to the game ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ on its GeForce NOW cloud gaming platform, implementing DLSS 5 technology enhanced with 3D-Guided Neural Rendering. This advanced rendering approach adds more lifelike lighting and detailed materials to the wizarding world portrayed in the game, improving the visual immersion without altering the game’s original geometry and textures. The integration is carefully tuned by Avalanche Software to preserve the artistic style and intent of the game.

‘Hogwarts Legacy,’ developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros. Games under Portkey Games, is set in the 1800s wizarding world and allows players to experience the life of a fifth-year student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The update further supports DLSS Multi Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction features to accelerate and enhance ray-traced graphics, substantially enriching the atmospheric effects in-game. GeForce NOW’s cloud-based DLSS 4.5 controls also enable players to fine-tune their visual experience.

This upgrade is available to GeForce NOW Ultimate members who can enjoy the improved visuals with the performance of GeForce RTX 5080-class GPUs across various devices including PCs, Macs, handhelds, browsers, mobile gadgets, and compatible smart TVs. The cloud service manages game installation and updates, eliminating the need for local downloads or storage space.

Alongside ‘Hogwarts Legacy,’ NVIDIA announced the launch of Blizzard Entertainment’s ‘World of Warcraft: Forever,’ now streaming on GeForce NOW, featuring upgraded graphics, expanded zones, and gameplay enhancements. The platform also provides access to CurseForge add-ons for further customization, with plans to support around 100 popular add-ons at launch.

Additionally, Ubisoft has added expansions for ‘Tom Clancy’s The Division 2’ and ‘Anno 117: Pax Romana’ to GeForce NOW. ‘Echoes of Central Park’ expands gameplay in ‘The Division 2’ with new locations and combat challenges, while ‘Anno 117: Pax Romana – Dawn of the Delta’ introduces a new province impacting city-building strategies.

NVIDIA continues to add numerous titles to GeForce NOW during November, including ‘Cyberpunk 2077,’ ‘Baldur’s Gate 3,’ and ‘Ashes of the Singularity II,’ among others, broadening the selection accessible to cloud gamers. This latest suite of upgrades and additions highlights NVIDIA’s commitment to enhancing the streaming game experience with cutting-edge rendering technologies.
