Google is extending its AI Mode ads to ten additional countries, enhancing search experiences with highly relevant sponsored results and introducing multiturn ads in the U.S.

Google announced a significant expansion of its AI Mode ads, which integrate sponsored results into AI-powered search queries, to ten new countries. The rollout includes Australia, Canada, India, Kenya, Malaysia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Singapore. This expansion aims to connect users with businesses and services more effectively by leveraging AI's enhanced understanding of longer, conversational search queries.

In AI Mode, search queries are reported to be on average three times longer than traditional searches, allowing AI to decipher user intent with greater nuance. Google’s research indicates that users are comfortable seeing ads integrated into AI-powered search experiences, with click-through rates for sponsored product listings matching those of organic results.

Alongside the international expansion, Google is introducing multiturn ads in the United States. These ads appear in follow-up queries during an ongoing AI Mode search session, potentially improving ad relevance through iterative interactions.

Ads within AI Mode are distinctly labeled as “Sponsored” to maintain transparency. Google intends to continue experimenting with ad formats to ensure they remain helpful and relevant to users. Further expansions are planned for late 2026, targeting countries such as Brazil, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.

This development underscores Google's efforts to integrate AI advancements into its advertising ecosystem, aiming to balance commercial objectives with enhanced user search experiences.
