Daytona Platforms secured $60 million in Series B funding at a $1 billion valuation to develop its cloud infrastructure tailored to long-running agents, backed by FirstMark Growth and prominent angel investors.

Daytona Platforms, a New York-based startup developing cloud infrastructure specialized for long-running software agents, announced its $60 million Series B funding led by FirstMark Growth at a $1 billion valuation, bringing its total funding raised to $91 million. The round attracted a notable group of angel investors including Stripe co-founder Patrick Collison, Shopify CEO Tobi Lütke, Perplexity's Aravind Srinivas, Zoom founder Eric Yuan, Datadog CEO Olivier Pomel, Quora CEO and OpenAI board member Adam D’Angelo, and Mercor's Brendan Foody. Additionally, corporate venture arms including Qualcomm Ventures, Samsung Next, and Okta Ventures participated in the financing.

Founded three years ago, Daytona addresses the unique infrastructure demands of modern long-running agents, which differ from traditional long-lived cloud services. According to founder Ivan Burazin, these agents initiate thousands of short-lived, stateful jobs dynamically, a workload pattern that standard cloud platforms were not designed to manage effectively.

Daytona’s solution provides a cloud environment likened to granting every agent its own dedicated computer, offering sandboxed access to multiple operating systems including Linux, Windows, and macOS, as well as GPUs and other resources within a unified platform. This approach aims to optimize performance and isolation for agent workloads that require rapid scaling and varied computing environments.

The company’s platform positions it at the intersection of cutting-edge cloud infrastructure and the growing need for agent-driven computing, reflecting increasing enterprise interest in such technologies. The substantial backing from both venture capital and influential tech entrepreneurs underscores confidence in Daytona’s vision to redefine cloud services for agent workloads.

While specifics on customer deployments and revenue were not disclosed, the funding and valuation milestone highlight strong investor belief in Daytona’s potential to innovate in cloud infrastructure tailored to next-generation software agents.
