Minisforum revealed the AtomMan G1 Pro, a compact gaming PC smaller than the PS5, featuring a Ryzen 9 8945HX and Radeon RX 9060 XT, designed as a premium SteamOS machine for demanding games.

Minisforum has introduced the AtomMan G1 Pro, a small-form-factor gaming computer engineered to deliver a high-end gaming experience while occupying less space than a PlayStation 5. This new desktop aims to serve as an ideal replacement for the Steam Machine concept, especially targeted at users seeking a powerful SteamOS-compatible PC.

At the heart of the AtomMan G1 Pro is a formidable 16-core Ryzen 9 8945HX processor, capable of reaching speeds up to 5.4 GHz. It pairs with a Radeon RX 9060 XT graphics card equipped with 16 GB of VRAM, offering strong performance for gaming at 1440p resolution. The system comes standard with 32 GB of DDR5 SO-DIMM RAM operating at 5200 MHz and a 1 TB solid-state drive, though these can be upgraded significantly to up to 96 GB of RAM and an 8 TB SSD, albeit at a substantial additional cost.

Connectivity options include Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. Video outputs are comprehensive, with four ports: two HDMI 2.1 and two DisplayPort variants (1.4a and 2.1b), supporting modern high-resolution displays. The entire system runs on a 350-watt power supply, balanced between the GPU’s 140-watt TDP and the CPU’s 100-watt consumption.

This combination of AMD hardware aligns well with SteamOS, Valve’s Linux-based gaming platform, making the AtomMan G1 Pro a promising choice for users wanting a dedicated machine for couch gaming. Pricing for the base model with 32 GB RAM and 1 TB storage is approximately $1760 (about 147,000 rubles) in preorder.

Overall, the AtomMan G1 Pro stands out as a compact, potent alternative to traditional gaming PCs and consoles for enthusiasts willing to invest in premium hardware optimized for SteamOS and demanding titles. Its launch continues Minisforum’s focus on delivering powerful mini PCs suited for modern gaming needs.
