Prime Video releases the full trailer for The Rings of Power S3, highlighting Sauron's war campaign and new characters, with the season debuting November 11, 2026.

Prime Video has released the official full trailer for the third season of The Rings of Power, the high-profile fantasy series set in the world of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth. The new season is scheduled to premiere on November 11, 2026, with episodes also arriving on November 18 and 25. This marks a pivotal chapter in the series as Sauron intensifies his campaign to conquer Middle-earth.

Set seven years after the events of season two, season three opens amid the height of the war between Sauron’s forces and the defending elves, dwarves, and men. According to the official synopsis, Sauron’s armies have swept over much of the realm, leaving only a few strongholds such as Khazad-dûm and the elven realms of Lindon and Rivendell standing. These remaining free peoples face immense pressure to unite against the overwhelming darkness.

A focal point of the season is Sauron’s obsession with forging the One Ring, the artifact through which he aims to dominate all life. The series introduces new significant characters, including Celeborn, portrayed by Jamie Campbell Bower, who is Galadriel’s long-lost husband, as well as other figures such as Khamul the Easterling, Thrain the dwarf, and Anarion from the royal lineage of men. Notably, Simon Pegg lends his voice to the Balrog, a fiery demonic creature.

The showrunners have also introduced the human men destined to become the Ringwraiths, referred to in the series as the Nazgnagol or "Rings-servants." This addition deepens the lore surrounding Sauron’s rise to power and his mounting forces.

Prime Video’s commitment to The Rings of Power includes multiple seasons following its acquisition of the rights from the Tolkien estate, marking one of the company’s significant investments in high fantasy content. With the new season’s release imminent, audiences can expect an expansive portrayal of the escalating conflict and the critical roles played by various races and characters in the fate of Middle-earth.
