Huawei has updated its list of devices supporting its 5A Speed Network technology, including the recently launched Mate 90 series, enabling faster, more stable mobile connections beyond standard 5G capabilities.
Huawei has broadened the range of its smartphones compatible with the 5A Speed Network technology by adding the newly released Mate 90 series devices. This enhancement brings improved network performance to Huawei’s latest flagships, promising faster content downloads and more reliable connections.
The 5A Speed Network is a Huawei-developed enhancement over standard 5G technology rather than a new mobile standard. It aims to address common 5G limitations such as poor indoor reception and high battery consumption. By integrating 5A, Huawei smartphones can maintain better signal stability within challenging environments such as elevators, parking garages, and moving trains.
In addition to improved stability, 5A supports 5G-Advanced features, delivering higher data speeds and nearly negligible latency. It also incorporates intelligent traffic prioritization in crowded areas where regular 5G networks often struggle to maintain performance.
Users can identify 5A support via a dedicated indicator displayed in the status bar next to the network signal icon. Huawei recommends running the latest HarmonyOS version to fully utilize 5A capabilities; without this update, the technology’s benefits may not be completely accessible.
The expanded list of devices now includes: - Huawei Mate 90 - Huawei Mate 90 Pro - Huawei Mate 90 Pro Max - Huawei Mate 90 Pro Max Collector's Edition - Huawei Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design - Huawei Mate XT 2 Ultimate Design - Huawei Nova 16 - Huawei Nova 16 Pro - Huawei Nova 16 SE - Huawei Nova 16z
This move underlines Huawei’s strategy to enhance user experience in mobile connectivity by advancing beyond traditional 5G constraints, leveraging software and hardware innovations tailored to real-world usage scenarios.
