Meta's Superintelligence Lab unveiled Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, their inaugural frontier AI models, offering enhanced performance and advanced memory capabilities compared to previous versions.
Meta has released two advanced artificial intelligence models, Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, marking the company's first foray into frontier AI modeling. These models were introduced by Meta's Superintelligence Lab on October 12, 2026, as a significant step beyond their earlier Muse Spark lightweight model.
The Wonder series is designed to deliver enhanced capability, achieving higher benchmark scores and excelling at complex tasks such as coding. In Meta's internal evaluations, both models performed comparably to prominent AI systems like Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra. This demonstrates substantial progress relative to Meta's prior models.
Meta emphasizes these models' improved ability to retain and synthesize user-provided information over extended periods, a feature referred to as “active memory.” This capability is supported by superior scores on the MemoryBench benchmark, which evaluates continual learning and memory construction. Research scientist Kavya Kopparapu highlighted the effort invested in ensuring the models remember important information across days, weeks, and months.
The new models are accessible via the Meta Model API, with Muse Wonder priced at $4.00 per million input tokens and $20.00 per million output tokens, aligning with the costs of comparable AI solutions such as GPT-6 Sol and Opus 5.5. However, Muse Wonder Full is exclusively available to Muse Code subscribers and not offered through the API. Both models are integral to powering the Muse agent, Meta's personal AI assistant.
These models represent the first frontier AI release following Meta's AI organizational restructuring in August 2025 led by Scale AI founder Alexandr Wang. Training of the models occurred at Meta’s Prometheus data center located in central Ohio, operational since earlier in 2026.
Through Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, Meta advances its pursuit of personal superintelligence, aiming to build AI that performs sustained, complex tasks with improved memory and understanding capabilities.
