Meta launches Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full AI models, aiming to rival top competitors like OpenAI and Anthropic. Available to Muse Code subscribers, these models mark Meta's renewed push in AI capabilities and services.
Meta is advancing its position in artificial intelligence by launching two new AI language models dubbed Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full. These models, now accessible to Muse Code subscribers, aim to contend with leading AI technologies from companies such as OpenAI and Anthropic. According to Meta, internal testing benchmarks suggest that Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full deliver performance comparable to well-known models like GPT-6 Astra, Claude Opus 5.5, and Claude Fable 5.1. Meta has also made Muse Wonder available through its Meta Model API, expanding developer access to these capabilities.
The rollout of Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full is part of Meta's broader strategy to reassert its presence in the AI industry. This effort follows the earlier launches of Muse Spark, an AI model from its revitalized Superintelligence Labs, and the Muse AI agent, which has garnered significant attention. Meta plans to eventually integrate the Wonder model to power its Muse AI agent, initially for subscribers, and intends to create specialized versions for wider user access, although specific timelines have not been provided.
This initiative reflects Meta's substantial investments in AI research, talent acquisition, and infrastructure over recent years. Beyond these language models, Meta continues to expand its AI portfolio, including the Muse Image model focused on image generation, and emphasizes delivering practical AI agents to a broad user base. While details about how Muse Wonder and its full variant compare to Google's forthcoming Gemini 4 Argon model remain unclear, Meta positions these launches as critical milestones in their competitive AI development roadmap.
