JustWatch, known for helping users navigate streaming platforms, has introduced JustWatch TV, a streaming service offering free ad-supported and rental movies, plus an optional ad-free subscription with a limited-time lifetime offer.
Since 2015, JustWatch has been a popular streaming guide helping users find movies across numerous platforms amid growing streaming fragmentation. In October 2026, JustWatch expanded its role by launching its own streaming service, JustWatch TV, aiming to complement its existing guiding capabilities.
JustWatch TV offers a selection of movies available for free with ads, including titles like "Green Room" (2015), "Locke" (2013), and "Sing Sing" (2023), which are reportedly not free on other services. It also hosts older movies such as "Friday the 13th" (1980) and "Hotel Mumbai" (2018). Users can access ad-supported content without creating an account. Additionally, the service offers movies to rent.
For viewers preferring an uninterrupted experience, JustWatch TV provides an ad-free subscription priced at $4 per month or a lifetime ad-free subscription at $50. The latter is a limited-time offer, though the duration for this availability has not been disclosed.
Though the initial library appears limited and somewhat dated—comprising a few hundred titles across tiers—the service has partnered with 30 content providers globally, including Paramount and New Regency, with plans to expand its catalog. Despite its modest collection, JustWatch draws comparisons to other niche services like Roku’s Howdy, which attracted a million subscribers within six months despite a slim library.
Strategically, JustWatch TV aims to enhance JustWatch Group’s advertising business by delivering deeper audience data for its JustWatch Media campaign planning service. This service targets studios, distributors, streamers, and media agencies for film marketing campaigns across platforms such as YouTube, Meta, and TikTok. With the JustWatch streaming guide boasting 50 million users, the new service plans to leverage this extensive audience to drive its ad-supported model further.
David Croyé, founder and CEO of JustWatch Group, noted that the vision was to create a unified platform directing audiences to all entertainment options. By integrating a streaming service, JustWatch intends to provide easier access to great movies and series—including hard-to-find titles—directly within the app. JustWatch TV targets reaching 100 million monthly users in the coming years, highlighting its ambitions beyond a simple guide to a full streaming experience.
