Sony's latest WF-1000XM6 noise-canceling earbuds are discounted to $238, undercutting the previous generation while offering improved noise cancellation and sound quality.

Sony’s WF-1000XM6 earbuds, recognized as some of the best noise-canceling true wireless earbuds available, are currently offered at an unprecedented discount. B&H Photo has listed the black version at $238, a $92 savings from the usual price, marking the lowest price ever for this model. This sale is a limited-time offer, with no matching discounts on the XM6 at other major retailers at present.

The WF-1000XM6 succeeds Sony’s WF-1000XM5 earbuds and brings significant upgrades. According to reviews, including one by The Verge’s John Higgins, these earbuds excel at noise cancellation, particularly in filtering out other people's conversations more effectively than competitors. Enhancements also include an improved bone-conduction sensor and AI-powered microphones that ensure voice clarity during calls, even amidst background noise.

In terms of audio performance, the XM6 delivers clean and balanced sound with richer bass, raising expectations for the WF-1000XM series. For users looking to tailor their listening, Sony offers the Sound Connect app, which enables customization of ambient sound levels without removing the earbuds, as well as personalization of touch control functions.

The earbuds also support Sony’s LDAC codec, enabling higher-quality audio streaming from compatible Android devices. A new listening mode designed to make music sound like background audio — akin to ambient music in a cafe — has been added to reduce distraction while enjoying tunes.

This sale on the WF-1000XM6 presents an excellent opportunity for consumers to acquire top-tier noise-canceling earbuds with advanced features at below last-generation prices. Given their enhancements over the XM5 and strong critical reception, this deal is notable for audiophiles and casual listeners alike.
