Bluesky’s Attie AI platform now enables users to easily create small social apps such as games, polls, and dashboards, which can be shared via unique web links. The tool aims to foster community engagement through simple AI-generated interactive experiences.
Bluesky, the social media startup, has enhanced its artificial intelligence tool Attie to allow users to create "small" social applications like games, polls, and dashboards that can be shared with others as standalone websites. Originally launched earlier this year to help users customize their social feeds using AI, Attie now broadens its scope by facilitating the creation of simple interactive apps with minimal technical input. Users can generate an app by typing in a prompt, and the system quickly produces lightweight functional prototypes. Examples include a poll about Pokémon versions, a Flappy Bird-style game called "Flappy Butterfly," a drum machine, a quiz, and an idle clicker themed around a “celery man.” Each app is accessible via a unique URL on the attie.site domain and includes creator attribution at the bottom of the page. Bluesky's CEO, Toni Schneider, has described Attie as "social vibe coding or vibe coding for your community," emphasizing its focus on enabling shared social experiences. While the current apps are simple novelty tools, they hint at the potential for communities to craft and share personalized interactive content without deep programming skills. This development marks a move toward integrating AI-driven content creation tools directly into social networking platforms, fostering more dynamic community interactions. Attie is publicly accessible, allowing anyone to experiment with generating these small AI-powered social apps.
