Prime Video unveiled the full trailer for its upcoming sci-fi series Blade Runner 2099 at New York Comic-Con, with the show set to premiere on November 25, 2026. The streamer also released a new trailer for Godzilla Minus Zero, sequel to the acclaimed Godzilla Minus One.
Prime Video has released the full official trailer of Blade Runner 2099 during New York Comic-Con, further building anticipation for the series debut scheduled for November 25, 2026. Previously teased at San Diego Comic-Con in July, the trailer was revealed alongside a panel featuring co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer, as well as showrunner Silka Luisa.
The series is set 50 years after the events of Blade Runner 2049 and explores a future where replicants have risen up and surpassed humans. Showrunner Silka Luisa described the central theme as humanity facing extinction and questioning the meaning of survival and retaining humanity in a changing world. Yeoh stars as Olwen, a dying replicant, with Schafer portraying Cora. The ensemble cast includes Hugo Hamlet, Dmitri Abold, Lewis Gribben, Katelyn Rose Downey, and others in undisclosed roles.
Coinciding with this reveal, a new trailer was also released for Godzilla Minus Zero, the sequel to Takashi Yamazaki’s Godzilla Minus One, which received critical acclaim and an Oscar for visual effects. The sequel continues the story two years after Godzilla devastated Japan, portraying the nation’s struggle for recovery when new threats emerge. Returning cast members include Ryunosuke Kamiki, Minami Hamabe, Sae Nagatani, and others.
Godzilla Minus Zero is slated for theatrical release on November 3, 2026. Legendary Pictures is continuing its Monsterverse franchise with another sequel, Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, expected in 2027.
Together, these announcements signal a strong year ahead for science fiction and kaiju fans, with Prime Video and Legendary Pictures expanding beloved franchises through new narrative chapters and visuals.
