The Omacom Foundation oversees the development of Omarchy, a Linux distro created by Danish entrepreneur David Heinemeier Hansson, known for developing Ruby on Rails and co-founding Basecamp.

As part of this partnership, SpaceXAI is donating $1.5 million worth of Grok tokens. These tokens are intended to be used to speed up software development activities such as reviewing code and patching bugs within the Omarchy project. This financial and computational backing aims to enhance the distro's advancement and stability.

Omarchy has stirred controversy due to its creator’s political views. Hansson has garnered attention for expressing strongly anti-immigration opinions in public blog posts, including a July post where he controversially compared immigrants to wolves needing to be controlled. Other tech companies, including Cloudflare and 1Password, have previously contributed to Omarchy, drawing criticism due to Hansson’s political stances. When questioned about supporting Omarchy, Cloudflare’s CEO noted that policing contributors’ political beliefs was not part of his responsibility.
