NVIDIA adds Gears of War: E-Day to GeForce NOW, enabling cloud play with RTX-powered features. Fire TV users will soon purchase memberships directly, with 10 new games joining the platform this week.
NVIDIA has launched the game Gears of War: E-Day on its GeForce NOW cloud gaming service, expanding its library with the prequel set 14 years before the original Gears of War. This new installment follows Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago as they face the initial threat of the Locust Horde on Emergence Day, delivering the series’ signature brutal combat and large-scale action.
Available globally since October 6 on Steam and Xbox, Gears of War: E-Day now streams on GeForce NOW with NVIDIA RTX 5080-class performance, leveraging technologies like NVIDIA DLSS and Reflex for enhanced graphics and responsiveness. Ultimate membership subscribers can experience these features across diverse devices, including low-power laptops, Macs, mobile devices, handheld consoles, and web browsers, all without the need for extensive downloads or high-end local hardware.
In addition to Gears of War: E-Day, GeForce NOW introduces nine other games this week, including new releases such as STAR WARS: Galactic Racer, Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, Forever Ago, Order of the Sinking Star, Silver Pines, and Permafrost. Games like Graveyard Keeper 2, Solasta II, and Tyr also join the platform.
NVIDIA is also preparing a smoother onboarding experience by enabling Fire TV users to purchase GeForce NOW memberships directly from Amazon soon, simplifying access from setup to gameplay.
For newcomers or those considering GeForce NOW, NVIDIA offers a day pass to sample premium cloud gaming. This cost can be credited toward the first monthly membership, facilitating an easy trial before committing.
While some titles like the Xbox version of Dune: Awakening did not join as previously expected, NVIDIA continues to update its game lineup regularly and advises users to follow their GFN Thursday updates for the latest availability.
Overall, the launch of Gears of War: E-Day on GeForce NOW marks a significant addition to NVIDIA’s ever-expanding cloud gaming catalog, emphasizing accessible, high-performance gaming across multiple platforms.
