French companies are deploying agentic computing powered by NVIDIA technology in fields from space to finance, reflecting significant ecosystem development supported by major infrastructure commitments and open model adoption.
France's technology ecosystem is advancing agentic computing at scale, leveraging NVIDIA's infrastructure and open models across diverse sectors including space, financial services, public administration, and scientific research. This growth builds upon strategic investments and collaborations initiated around the AI Action Summit in February 2025 and subsequent Choose France Summits through 2026, which anchored major sovereign compute commitments on French soil.
A key dimension of France's progress lies in sovereign AI infrastructure. For example, Bull is expanding its production of European AI servers with NVIDIA Vera Rubin Ultra NVL72 systems, with hardware integration occurring at its new Angers facility inaugurated in October 2026. In the space domain, the Altair-1 satellite, part of a $1 billion constellation of 50 satellites, successfully launched and operates with onboard autonomous capabilities. This satellite, developed by Loft Orbital and Orbitworks, utilizes NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin edge modules running Mistral's AI models for real-time Earth observation and autonomous in-orbit operations.
On the software side, French organizations are adopting NVIDIA Nemotron open models to ensure sovereign and trustworthy data handling. LINAGORA and Docaposte secured a framework agreement to deploy Twake.ai, built on Nemotron, as the digital workplace platform for over 2,500 French public institutions. In the financial sector, SBS, together with NVIDIA, is launching a sovereign platform that enables banks to run governed generative and agentic AI services in their own environments. Furthermore, Mistral recently introduced Mistral Large 4, a state-of-the-art open AI model currently in private preview, targeting applications in cyber defense, manufacturing, and finance.
Industry adoption of these AI technologies is broad and impactful. L’Oréal integrates NVIDIA's ALCHEMI to accelerate research on cosmetic formulations. Mirakl streamlined seller catalog onboarding using fine-tuned AI models on NVIDIA GPUs. Visual modeling advancements benefit companies like Photoroom and Vestiaire Collective, while Omi scales AI-generated marketing visuals using 3D digital twins and NVIDIA-optimized models for faster inference.
In infrastructure management, ThinkDeep and Akila developed a digital twin agent powered by NVIDIA Cosmos, Nemotron, and Omniverse libraries to oversee extensive road and building networks in Côte-d’Or, achieving significant operational cost savings. Port Sud de France employs similar AI platforms for goods handling and port security. Robotics company Enchanted Tools deploys social robots in healthcare, including pediatric cancer care settings.
The telecom sector sees innovation with Bouygues Telecom and Prisme.ai launching AI Studio V2, enabling secure employee creation of AI agents on NVIDIA full-stack infrastructure. In quantum computing, startups Alice & Bob and Quandela are integrating NVIDIA's NVQLink platform to enhance quantum error correction and hybrid quantum-classical computing capabilities.
These developments underline France's deliberate and multifaceted approach to building agentic computing capabilities from terrestrial infrastructure to orbital applications. The ecosystem continues evolving with further insights expected from upcoming initiatives such as the Fondation Inria's working group on open source advanced modeling. NVIDIA's ongoing collaboration with French partners underscores a robust commitment to sovereign, scalable AI innovation across industries.
