CMF introduces its first portable Bluetooth speakers, Speaker S and Speaker M, offering distinctive customizable designs, long battery life, and water resistance at affordable prices.
CMF, a budget-focused brand originating from the technology company Nothing and currently transitioning into an independent India-based entity, has unveiled its first range of portable Bluetooth speakers called the CMF Speaker Series. This launch continues CMF's trend of providing affordable audio hardware that stands out with unique, playful designs and bright color choices.
The series includes two models: the compact CMF Speaker S priced at $59 and the larger CMF Speaker M at $109. The Speaker S features a single 45mm full-range driver with two passive radiators designed to enhance bass frequencies. In contrast, the Speaker M is equipped with two drivers—a 10W tweeter and a 25W woofer—to deliver improved bass performance and clearer separation of instruments and vocals.
Both speakers resemble electronic milk cartons in shape and are available in four colors: white, dark gray, orange, and turquoise. They provide up to 18 hours of battery life and carry an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, ensuring durability for outdoor and everyday use.
Customization is a key feature of the CMF Speaker Series. Users can swap out the multifunction knob that controls volume and playback, as well as the entire front panel, including a vertical flap intended for hanging the speaker. CMF encourages creativity by planning to release official design files, enabling modders to 3D print and install their own personalized covers and knobs.
Connectivity options are robust, including Bluetooth 6 with fast pairing methods such as NFC, Google Fast Pair, and Microsoft Swift Pair. The speakers also support audio playback over a USB-C cable and allow dual-device connection to switch audio sources quickly. Furthermore, users can pair two of the same model speakers for stereo sound or connect multiple speakers simultaneously—including those from other manufacturers—using an Auracast-based party mode.
Overall, the CMF Speaker Series offers a combination of playful design, versatile customization, and practical audio features, targeting consumers seeking affordable yet distinct portable speakers. The range is available now, marking CMF’s expansion into wireless speakers following its earlier headphone release.
