Amazon introduces two updated Bee AI wearables—the wrist-worn Frontier and a smartphone-clip Eclipse—with conversation summarizing, and a new subscription adding Amazon shopping suggestions and Alexa Plus integration.

Amazon has expanded its lineup of Bee wearable devices, a product family acquired last year from a startup specializing in always-listening AI wearables that summarize user conversations. The company announced two new Bee devices: the $74.99 Bee Frontier, an upgraded version of the original wearable, and the upcoming $99.99 Bee Eclipse, a credit-card-sized device that magnetically attaches to the back of a smartphone.

Both devices are designed to help users stay engaged in the moment by continuously listening to daily conversations and generating summaries, transcripts, task suggestions, and insights. Similar to other AI note-taking tools like Plaud NotePin and Limitless AI, Bee devices can be integrated with various services such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple HealthKit, and photos to enable AI-assisted actions—for example, drafting emails or creating calendar invites based on spoken discussions.

The Bee Frontier sports a wristwatch-style or clip-on form factor, featuring dual microphones, a recording indicator light, and around seven days of battery life with an IP67 water resistance rating. Its design has been refreshed to make the recording button more prominent, and it is available in black, green, and lavender. On the other hand, the Bee Eclipse targets professional use cases with a non-wearable approach. It has a larger battery offering up to 21 days of operation and includes a recording indicator light. The Eclipse will come in black, pink, yellow, and silver.

In parallel with hardware releases, Amazon introduced a Bee Pro subscription at $11.99 per month. While basic users can access conversation summaries, recaps, and 14 days of memory for free, the subscription unlocks unlimited summaries, suggested to-dos, daily memory features, a personal chat assistant, conversation templates, broader third-party app integrations, and a desktop app. Most notably, Bee Pro subscribers can opt into Amazon and Alexa Plus compatibility. This integration enables the device to recognize shopping cues in conversations and present related product suggestions on the Amazon homepage or within the Bee app. Alexa Plus integration supports hands-free access to Bee summaries and insights.

Addressing privacy concerns amid growing scrutiny of surveillance technologies, Amazon stated that Bee devices use encryption under its Private Compute security framework and do not store raw audio recordings. Devices can automatically cease recording after periods of silence. Voice training occurs per user, and other speakers require consent to be recognized, though the level of privacy assurance ultimately depends on individual definitions of recording.

The Bee Frontier is available now, with the Bee Eclipse launching soon. Amazon positions these products as tools to enhance productivity and everyday awareness by leveraging AI-powered conversation tracking and integration with its ecosystem.
