JustWatch, known for its streaming search engine, has launched JustWatch TV, a streaming service offering free ad-supported, ad-free paid subscriptions, and movie rentals across 12 countries.
JustWatch, previously celebrated as a streaming guide and search engine for platforms like Disney Plus and Netflix, has officially entered the streaming market with its own service called JustWatch TV. Announced last month and launched on October 20, 2026, this new platform diversifies how users can consume TV shows and movies.
JustWatch TV offers three main options for viewers. The free tier, JustWatch TV Free, features an ad-supported curated selection of titles, providing cost-free access to various content. For those preferring an uninterrupted experience, JustWatch TV Plus delivers over 300 ad-free titles and additional features such as hiding shows users have disliked or already watched within the guide. This subscription costs $3.99 monthly, with a unique lifetime subscription offered at $49.99. The service also emphasizes that even with potential content price increases, the value of collected user data maintains the lifetime option's worth.
Additionally, JustWatch TV includes a rental store that hosts a growing catalog of recent and popular movies, initially available in the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Subscribers to the Plus tier benefit from a 10 percent discount on these rentals.
The streaming service integrates offerings from around 30 global content partners, including names like Bleecker Street, Cineverse, Fremantle, New Regency, and Paramount, alongside region-specific partners to cater to localized tastes. Currently, JustWatch TV is available in 12 markets, among them the United States, Canada, France, Italy, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
Accessible via JustWatch’s established mobile apps and its website, JustWatch TV marks a strategic expansion for the company from an aggregator and guide to a direct streaming provider. This move positions JustWatch competitively within the streaming landscape, blending search functionality with original service offerings to capture and retain streaming audiences.
