Apple unveils the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M6 chip, delivering up to 24 hours of battery life, powerful on-device AI, faster connectivity with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, and a stunning Liquid Retina XDR display. Available for pre-order starting October 28, 2026.
Apple has introduced the new 14-inch MacBook Pro equipped with its latest M6 chip, promising significant advances in performance, AI capabilities, and connectivity. Targeting professionals, students, and creators, this model builds upon its predecessor with a 12-core CPU featuring the world’s fastest core, a 12-core GPU, and a dual 16-core Neural Engine designed to accelerate on-device AI workloads effectively.
Compared to the previous M5 model, the M6 chip delivers up to 30% faster graphics performance and up to 25% faster AI processing. For users upgrading from the M1, Apple claims gains up to 13 times faster in AI tasks and nearly 12 times faster rendering performance in applications such as Blender. This leap extends to commonly used workflows including image processing, software compiling, and 3D modeling.
Battery life has received a substantial boost, now supporting up to 24 hours on a single charge, representing an increase of up to 14 hours for users transitioning from Intel-based Macs, and up to four additional hours over M1-powered models. Fast charging support enables the battery to reach 50% capacity within 30 minutes when paired with a suitable 96W power adapter.
The device sports a brilliant Liquid Retina XDR display capable of reaching 1600 nits peak brightness and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, with an optional nano-texture finish to reduce glare. Enhanced connectivity features include Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, supporting low-latency connections and up to two external displays. The MacBook Pro offers a versatile port selection: three Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI, MagSafe 3, an SDXC card slot, and a headphone jack.
Additional hardware highlights are a 12MP Center Stage camera with Desk View, a three-mic array for studio-quality audio, and a six-speaker sound system with Spatial Audio. The enclosure is made from 100% recycled aluminum, reflecting Apple’s commitment to sustainability.
Running on the new macOS 27 Golden Gate, the MacBook Pro includes Siri AI and other Apple Intelligence features designed to enhance productivity and privacy through advanced on-device processing.
The 14-inch MacBook Pro with M6 will be available in space black and silver starting at $1,999 USD, with education pricing at $1,899. Pre-orders open on October 28, 2026, with shipments beginning on November 6 in 35 countries and regions. Apple also offers flexible leasing through Apple Upgrade and trade-in options for existing devices, complemented by AppleCare service plans for extended support.
