Google Chrome's enhanced autofill now uses Gemini's Personal Intelligence to pull form-filling info from your Gmail, including shipment tracking, travel bookings, and order numbers, enhancing convenience while keeping data secure.

Google Chrome has expanded its enhanced autofill functionality to include information sourced directly from users' Gmail accounts, leveraging Gemini with Personal Intelligence. Previously, enhancements introduced last year allowed autofill to retrieve data such as names, passport numbers, email addresses, and physical addresses from Google Accounts and Google Wallet. This latest update, rolling out starting October 2026 in the US, further streamlines form completion by suggesting details like shipment tracking numbers, flight booking references, hotel reservations, and recent purchase order numbers.

This new capability aims to save users the hassle of manually searching through confirmation emails, receipts, or shipping updates when filling out various forms online. Information suggested by autofill remains encrypted to maintain security and privacy, and users retain control over these features. They can adjust what data Chrome accesses via enhanced autofill within the browser's settings or disable the feature entirely.

The update is available for users on desktop, Android, and iOS versions of Chrome who have Personal Intelligence enabled. By automatically integrating relevant data from Gmail, the autofill experience becomes more seamless, reducing the need to switch between tabs or applications. Google has designed these improvements to offer both convenience and privacy, reflecting its ongoing development in enhancing browser-based productivity tools.
