Revolut's valuation rises 53% to $115 billion after a secondary share sale led by major investors, ahead of its planned U.S. banking launch in 2027. The fintech has expanded globally, with strong growth in business banking and profits reaching $6 billion revenue in 2025.

British fintech company Revolut has secured a $115 billion valuation following a secondary share sale led by investors including Glade Brook Capital Partners, Coatue, Durable Capital Partners, T. Rowe Price Associates, and Baillie Gifford. This valuation marks a 53% increase compared to a previous share sale a year earlier. The transaction did not inject new capital into Revolut, but reflects heightened investor confidence as the company prepares to establish a national bank in the United States in 2027, pending final regulatory approval from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

Founded in 2015 by Nik Storonsky and Vlad Yatsenko, Revolut has evolved from a simple money transfer app to a comprehensive financial platform serving over 80 million retail customers across 40 countries. It has launched banking operations in several regions including the U.K., Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and more recently received banking licenses in France, Colombia, and Argentina. Its expansion into India commenced earlier this year.

The fintech has demonstrated strong financial performance, posting revenues of $6 billion in 2025 with profit margins of 38%. Alongside its consumer-focused services, Revolut's business banking division, introduced in 2017, has become increasingly important. This division accounts for around 20% of the company’s gross profit and serves markets including Europe, the U.K., Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, and the U.S.

Revolut Business handles over £36 billion (approximately $48.6 billion) in monthly transactions worldwide, including over £1 billion ($1.35 billion) in the U.S. alone. The division generates annualized revenues exceeding £950 million ($1.28 billion) and holds more than £18 billion ($24.3 billion) in customer deposits. Nearly half of its new U.S. business customers are newly incorporated companies.

Looking ahead, Revolut aims to expand its business banking services to additional markets such as Mexico, Brazil, and India. It has set a goal to increase its business customer base from over 800,000 to one million by 2027.

The company's soaring valuation accompanies ongoing considerations for a public offering. CEO Storonsky has contemplated a dual stock listing in New York and London, favoring a major U.S. listing. However, any initial public offering would likely not occur before 2028 and could value Revolut at as much as $200 billion, depending on market conditions.

Revolut's current trajectory signals rapid growth and an increasingly diversified financial services presence around the globe, bolstered by robust investor support as it readies its U.S. banking operations.
