Ninja's Crispi Microwave integrates a 1,000W microwave with a 1,700W air fryer using FusionCrisp tech, delivering quick cooking plus crispy textures, replacing two appliances in one unit.
Ninja has introduced its first-ever microwave, the Crispi Microwave and Air Fryer, which merges microwave heating and air frying into a single countertop appliance. This device employs Ninja's FusionCrisp technology, designed to combine the speed of microwave cooking with the crispy, golden finish typically associated with air frying. Priced at $449.99, the Crispi Microwave features a 1,000-watt microwave alongside a 1,700-watt air fryer system.
The FusionCrisp technology allows users to enjoy rapid reheating while restoring crispiness to foods like leftover pizza, chicken tenders, and fries — items that often become soggy when microwaved conventionally. Unlike many combined cooking devices that offer separate functions, the Ninja device integrates the two methods simultaneously for improved texture without sacrificing speed.
The appliance includes a 5.5-quart glass cooking dish and a nonstick crisper plate that sits atop the dish when air frying is needed. Notably, it omits a traditional rotating plate inside, providing more internal space and accommodating larger or multiple dishes at once. This design also supports cooking tasks such as preparing a pasta bake by microwaving the pasta and employing the air fryer to crisp the cheese topping.
While the unit replaces two devices, it measures 20.3 by 17.56 by 14.1 inches, making it less suitable for small kitchens due to its considerable footprint. The price point is also significantly higher than standard microwaves, reflecting its dual functionality and advanced technology. For users who frequently use both a microwave and an air fryer, the Ninja Crispi Microwave offers a compelling space-saving and time-efficient alternative.
