Nintendo is releasing a visually enhanced remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Switch 2 on November 5, featuring new gameplay features and special edition hardware.

In a major announcement ahead of Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto VI launch, Nintendo has revealed a remake of the iconic game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, tailored for the upcoming Switch 2 console. This new version arrives 28 years after the original Nintendo 64 release and offers a strikingly more realistic visual presentation.

The remake includes modernized gameplay enhancements such as a dedicated jump button, sprint mechanics, and comprehensive voice acting, along with an innovative "Threads of Time" feature designed to help players efficiently track their progress. Despite these updates, the game maintains strong fidelity to the structure and core experience of the classic N64 title.

Alongside the game release scheduled for November 5th, Nintendo is launching special edition Switch 2 hardware. This includes a version of the console and the Switch 2 Pro Controller adorned with the iconic Triforce imagery, celebrating this enduring franchise.

This remake represents a significant fall release for Nintendo, aiming to deliver both nostalgia and fresh experiences to longtime fans and new players on their next-generation console. Coverage of the game's launch and features is available through various channels as the release date approaches.
