Meta's Muse app now features 'spaces,' AI-created customizable modules like shopping hubs and planners that integrate external apps to update in real time, enhancing personalized interaction and organization.
Meta has enhanced its Muse AI assistant with a new feature called "spaces," enabling users to create customized, app-like environments tailored to their specific needs within the Muse app. These "spaces" can function as diverse tools such as shopping hubs, school dashboards, music trackers, and trivia games, providing interactive and dynamic experiences directly accessible through Muse.
Users generate a new space simply by describing what they want, after which Muse's AI builds the customized module. Importantly, the feature supports connections with external applications like Gmail, Google Calendar, OpenTable, and Notion. Through these integrations, Muse continually pulls updated information—such as pricing or event dates—automatically refreshing the data within each space in the background.
Interactivity within spaces extends to actions like checking off items, adding notes, and making edits, allowing users to manage and personalize their spaces actively. Furthermore, Meta offers flexible placement options for these spaces within the Muse app, including keeping them in the sidebar, moving them to the main tab, or scheduling their visibility based on the user's routine. For example, users can prioritize a weekly planner during workdays and switch to weekend plans accordingly.
Beyond spaces, Meta has integrated new "Active Memory" and "Active Focus" capabilities from its Muse Wonder AI model into both the Muse app and Meta AI chatbot. These enhancements help Muse better recall relevant past information during conversations and improve its ability to assist users in achieving goals.
The rollout of spaces is now available to all Muse users. Meta is also exploring features that will allow users to share and collaborate on these personalized spaces with others, indicating potential future developments in collaborative AI experiences within the Muse platform.
Meta's innovation in Muse represents a significant stride in AI personalization, blending external data integration and customized user experiences to make the app a more versatile and dynamic productivity and leisure tool.
