CrowdStrike is acquiring Fiddler AI and Dreadnode for nearly $500 million to enhance AI agent observability and automated security testing amid rapid AI adoption in enterprises.

Cybersecurity leader CrowdStrike is significantly bolstering its AI security capabilities by acquiring two startups focused on AI agent and model security — Fiddler AI and Dreadnode. Announced in early November 2026, these acquisitions aim to address the growing complexity and security risks as organizations rapidly deploy AI tools and autonomous agents.

CrowdStrike will pay approximately $400 million for Fiddler AI, a company specializing in observability software that helps enterprises monitor and evaluate AI agents in operation. Additionally, CrowdStrike will acquire Dreadnode for about $95 million. Dreadnode develops automation tools for testing AI models, applications, and agents to identify security vulnerabilities before deployment.

These deals occur amid widespread challenges in cybersecurity, where organizational policies and security frameworks lag behind the accelerated AI adoption across industries. Employees and teams are experimenting with AI-powered workflows and deploying AI agents, creating new security blind spots and risks. CrowdStrike aims to leverage its established enterprise and government client base to capture this emerging market for AI-focused security solutions.

Post-acquisition, Fiddler AI’s technology will be integrated into CrowdStrike’s Falcon platform under the name Falcon Observe, enhancing clients’ ability to assess agent behavior, monitor activities, and collect telemetry for comprehensive insight. Dreadnode’s tools will become part of the Falcon Guardian offering, contributing automated AI security testing results that inform policy recommendations to strengthen defenses.

Founded in 2018, Fiddler AI has raised $99 million to date, while Dreadnode, established in 2023, raised $14 million. CrowdStrike’s purchases reflect broader industry momentum to evolve security software capable of managing the unique challenges posed by AI models and agents.

These acquisitions extend CrowdStrike’s strategic investments in AI security, complementing its own Falcon Guardian detection and response capabilities. As AI adoption spreads, solutions focused on observability and preemptive vulnerability detection will be critical to maintaining enterprise cybersecurity resilience.
