Waymo has expanded its autonomous ride service in Las Vegas to include Harry Reid International Airport, marking its sixth major airport service location.

Waymo has commenced providing autonomous rides to and from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, according to an announcement made on October 21, 2026. The company has designated “autonomous vehicle zones” for pick-ups and drop-offs at Terminals 1 and 3, facilitating convenient access for passengers using its service.

This expansion represents Waymo's sixth major airport market, following its existing operations at Phoenix Sky Harbor, Nashville International, San Antonio International, San Francisco International, and San José International airports.

Waymo only started offering public rides in the Las Vegas area in September 2026, yet it already covers a 24-square-mile service area within the city. Initially, the airport rides will be restricted to a limited number of customers before the company opens the service more broadly to all users.

Las Vegas is quickly becoming a hub for autonomous vehicle services. Besides Waymo, Amazon-owned Zoox is also operating robotaxi rides at the airport. Moreover, the Nevada state regulators recently approved permits allowing Tesla and Uber to deploy thousands of autonomous vehicles throughout the city streets over the upcoming year.

This development reflects a growing trend toward autonomous transportation integration at major airports, aiming to improve passenger mobility and reduce reliance on traditional taxis and rideshares. Waymo's entry into the Las Vegas airport market is a significant step in advancing self-driving vehicle adoption in urban transportation networks.
