TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 revealed five finalists competing for the Startup Battlefield Cup and $100,000 equity-free, featuring innovations in AI, space computing, health tech, and manufacturing.
TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 showcased 20 startups pitching live over two days across four categories: space and physical AI, energy and manufacturing, health tech and life sciences, and enterprise and security. After a rigorous judging process, five finalists were selected to compete in the Startup Battlefield finals.
The finalists bring diverse technological innovations addressing various challenges. Apate.ai deploys thousands of AI agents that impersonate potential scam victims, engaging fraudsters through calls, messages, and social media to learn scam tactics. Flox Intelligence offers a wildlife deterrent system that leverages edge devices equipped with perception models to identify animals and emit species-specific sounds that safely scare them away.
Intero Biosystems develops complex human intestinal organoids that mimic multiple gut cell and tissue types, providing improved preclinical models to study drug effects before human testing. Industrial Next creates AI-driven, self-contained robotic stations powered by proprietary foundation models combining vision, task context, and motion, enabling manufacturers to retool production lines rapidly and automate intricate manual tasks. Some of its stations are already deployed in manufacturing popular smartphones.
Satlyt builds software enabling satellites to share large computing workloads in space, aiming to create a shared cloud infrastructure among spacecraft. After flying its software on two demonstration missions, Satlyt focuses on enhancing operational efficiency by enabling autonomous AI-driven decision-making on orbit, reducing reliance on ground controllers.
The finals are scheduled the day after the announcement, with the participants presenting to a new panel of expert judges. The winner will receive the coveted Startup Battlefield Cup and $100,000 in non-dilutive funding. TechCrunch invites audiences to watch the event live in person or via livestream, emphasizing the startups' strides in AI, biotechnology, manufacturing automation, and space technology.
