Meta Platforms launches Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, advanced AI models capable of handling complex tasks such as coding, legal analysis, and personal finance. CEO Mark Zuckerberg highlights the firm’s frontier AI progress and commitment to responsible development.

Meta Platforms has introduced two new AI models—Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full—positioned to challenge competitors like OpenAI and Anthropic in delivering sophisticated artificial intelligence services. According to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, these models represent the company’s most capable AI systems to date, designed to tackle a broad spectrum of intricate tasks including coding, document and legal analysis, personal finance, and health data interpretation.

The Muse models feature "Active Memory," which allows them to retain pertinent user information throughout ongoing conversations, enhancing continuity and personalization. They also employ "Active Focus," enabling the AI agents to persist with complex workflows, adapt dynamically to new inputs, recover from mistakes, and request clarifications before executing critical actions.

Meta reports that its internal evaluations place Muse Wonder ahead of leading AI models such as Anthropic’s Claude Opus 5.5 and OpenAI’s GPT-6 Astra on several performance benchmarks involving memory, coding, and general agent functionality. The more advanced Muse Wonder Full model also demonstrates superior performance on unfamiliar or novel tasks.

Distinct from prior open-source releases, Meta is distributing Muse Wonder through proprietary developer and subscription channels. Pricing for commercial users starts at 20 cents per million tokens for basic access with premium subscriptions reaching up to $200 monthly for the full-featured Muse Wonder Full. This strategy directly challenges existing AI chatbot providers by offering cutting-edge capabilities within a controlled ecosystem.

Zuckerberg emphasized the substantial computing resources and ongoing research investments required to reach this "frontier" of AI development, confirming that Meta is actively working on further advancements beyond these new models. He also addressed concerns around AI safety, expressing confidence in engineering technologies with standard safeguards and responsible design principles to prevent misuse.

Meta has built these models with privacy and security in mind, incorporating training safeguards to avoid unauthorized information leaks and reject malicious use cases, while preserving advanced autonomous abilities beneficial for cybersecurity purposes.

This launch marks a significant step in Meta’s AI ambitions, signaling its intent to compete vigorously in the rapidly evolving AI landscape by offering powerful, flexible, and responsibly engineered artificial intelligence solutions.
