MWC26 Doha begins with a call for unified global telecom standards and bridging the connectivity divide in the Middle East and North Africa, gathering key industry and policy leaders for critical discussions.

MWC26 Doha officially opened on November 8, 2026, convening operators, technology leaders, policymakers, and innovators from across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The event is hosted in partnership with Qatar's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and is held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.

Central discussions at MWC26 focus on the urgent need to align global telecommunications industry standards. This synchronization is expected to facilitate smoother international cooperation and technology deployment, which is critical for advancing connectivity worldwide.

A prominent theme is addressing the persistent connectivity gap in the MENA region. Despite rapid digital advancements globally, parts of MENA continue to face challenges in widespread access to high-speed and reliable internet services. The gathering aims to foster collaborative solutions among governments, network operators, and technology innovators to close this divide.

Throughout the three-day exhibition and conference, participants engage in sessions that explore emerging technologies, regulatory frameworks, and infrastructure investment strategies tailored for the region's unique needs.

By bringing diverse stakeholders together, MWC26 Doha intends to catalyze coordinated efforts that will enhance digital inclusion, support economic growth, and ensure the region’s alignment with evolving global telecom standards.
