Apple Unveils Foldable iPhone Duo with Largest Display in iPhone History

Apple has announced the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone featuring the largest display ever in an iPhone, with pre-orders starting October 16, 2026.

On October 15, 2026, Apple announced the iPhone Duo, a groundbreaking foldable smartphone that delivers the largest iPhone display to date. The device is now available for pre-order beginning October 16, 2026, at 5 a.m. PT via apple.com and the Apple Store app.

When unfolded, the iPhone Duo presents an expansive 7.58-inch inner display, 50 percent larger than that of the iPhone 18 Pro Max. Despite its size, it is the thinnest iPhone Apple has ever produced. Closed, the device offers a 5.4-inch outer screen providing 90 percent of the screen area of an iPhone 18 Pro, optimized for compact and pocket-friendly use.

Constructed with durability in mind, the iPhone Duo features a precision-engineered hinge designed for a smooth and satisfying folding experience. Powered by Apple's A20 Pro chip and a dual-battery system, the phone promises pro-level performance alongside extended all-day battery life.

The device runs iOS 27, revamped to preserve familiarity while adapting fluidly to the foldable format through responsive multitasking, screen reorientation, and dual-display support. This enhances productivity by supporting features like Split View and seamless app switching on the large inner display.

AI capabilities are significantly enhanced with Siri AI, part of Apple Intelligence, which offers personalized context awareness and conversational assistance. Siri AI debuts in beta with iOS 27 in English, allowing users to interact with Siri alongside apps or utilize Siri mode in the Camera app for information about real-world objects.

Photography and videography take a leap forward with an advanced camera system that includes a 48MP Fusion Main camera with zero shutter lag, a 2x optical telephoto lens, a 48MP Ultra Wide fusion camera, and a Center Stage front camera that automatically adjusts to portrait or landscape orientations. A discreet FaceTime camera is integrated beneath the inner display for hands-free video calls when the phone is open or propped up.

The iPhone Duo boasts a resilient IP68 rating for splash, water, and dust resistance and comes in two colors: star white and night sky.
